The Brooklyn Junior Cricket Club teams were first organised in 1972 by the Brooklyn Seniors Club Captain Bert Warren, Tony Stent and club veteran Bob Cubin who still plays for the Senior two day team to this day! In recent years the club has grown significantly, from two junior teams to eighteen teams in the 2018/2019 season. This all bodes well for the future of the game!

The Brooklyn Junior Cricket Club takes in (school) year one players through to year eight, and encompasses the Southern suburbs of Wellington. The Club is accommodating and encouraging of players of all abilities, and in recent times has focused on developing Coaches to ensure players are improving their skillset, and most importantly having fun with their mates. The Club runs mixed teams of boys and girls, and where possible will endeavour to accommodate newcomers with friends.
